The video is being shared with the claim that it shows Chapra Railway Station in Bihar, where severe waterlogging occurred following heavy rainfall. The water level in the video appears so high that even the platforms are not visible. A research done by the Research Wing of the CyberPeace found the viral claim to be false. Our research revealed that the viral video is AI-generated and is being shared on social media with a misleading claim.
Claim:
A user on the social media platform Facebook shared the viral video on August 31, 2026, claiming that Chapra Railway Station had been inundated. The link to the post, archived link, and screenshots are provided below.

Fact Check
To debunk the viral claim, we searched Google using relevant keywords. However, we could not find any credible media reports confirming the claim. As the next step in our research, we also checked the status of trains arriving at and departing from Chapra Railway Station. We reasoned that if the station had actually been submerged to the extent shown in the video, rail operations would likely have been disrupted and some trains might have been cancelled. However, our research found no information about any train operating from Chapra being cancelled.
Upon closely examining the viral video, we suspected that it might be AI-generated. We subsequently scanned the video using the AI detection tool Hive Moderation. According to the tool’s results, the viral video was found to be 99 percent AI-generated.
As part of the next step of our research, we scanned the viral video using another AI detection tool, Wasitai AI. According to the tool’s results, the viral video is AI-generated.
Conclusion
Our research found that the viral video is AI-generated and is being shared on social media with a misleading claim.

- Infostealer is a malicious program created to illegally obtain people's login details, like usernames and passwords. Its goal is to enable cyberattacks, sell on dark web markets, or pursue malicious aims.
- This malware targets both personal devices and corporate systems. It spreads through methods like phishing emails, harmful websites, and infected public sites.
- Once inside a device, Infostealer secretly gathers sensitive data like passwords, account details, and personal information. It's designed to infiltrate systems being undetected. The stolen credentials are compiled into datalogs. These logs are then sold illegally on dark web marketplaces for profit.

Upon receiving the Posts, the CyberPeace Research Team first checked for any Synthetic Media detection, and the Hive AI Detection tool found it to be 100% AI generated, which is proof that the Image is AI Generated. Then, we checked for the source of the image and did a reverse image search for it. We landed on similar Posts from where an Instagram account is linked, and the account of similar visuals was made by the creator named hamidreza.edalatnia. The account we landed posted a photo of similar types of visuals.
We searched for the viral image in his account, and it was confirmed that the viral image was created by this person.
The Photo was posted on 10th December, 2023 and he mentioned using AI Stable Diffusion the image was generated . Hence, the Claim made in the Viral image of the optical illusion from Epirus, Greece is Misleading.

Claim
A verified X (formerly Twitter) user shared the viral clip and claimed that during a joint press conference, Jaishankar said:“I request Marco Rubio and Trump to hand over the handlers of the Cockroach Party because they are Pakistani and Iranian proxy groups.”
Fact Check
To verify the claim, we converted the viral clip into key frames and conducted a reverse image search. During the research, we found the original video uploaded on May 24, 2026, on the official YouTube channel of the Ministry of External Affairs.
The video was captioned:“Press conference of EAM Dr S Jaishankar and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.”
A review of the full press conference confirmed that Jaishankar made no mention of any “Cockroach Party,” its alleged handlers, or any Pakistani or Iranian proxy network. Further verification of the official transcripts published by both the Indian Ministry of External Affairs and the United States Department of State also found no references to the terms “Cockroach Party,” “handlers,” “Pakistani proxy,” or any statements matching the viral claim.

In the final stage of verification, the viral clip was analysed using an AI detection tool. The analysis suggested that the audio had been manipulated and that the video appeared to be edited. The tool indicated a 63 percent probability that the clip had been altered using AI-based editing techniques.

The research confirms that the viral claim is fake. S. Jaishankar did not make any statement regarding the “Cockroach Party” or its alleged handlers during the press conference. The viral clip has been edited and is being shared with misleading claims.
