An exciting national competition for the digital generation
The CyberPeace Foundation and NCERT proudly present the latest edition of the eRaksha Competition! This year's eRaksha competition is being organised in collaboration with the G20 Summit. Inspired by the principles of Vasudev Kutumbakam, the competition’s theme for this year is “Fostering a Safe and Responsible Cyber Culture”.

The eRaksha competition endeavours to cultivate a deeper understanding of responsible digital citizenship among the nation’s youth. Since its launch in 2019, eRaksha has witnessed overwhelming participation from more than one lakh participants all over India. Students, teachers, parents, and other educators from various schools and colleges are encouraged to participate in this competition. eRaksha serves as a valuable platform for its participants to shape and share their ideas, visions, and experiences regarding digital safety.
Each year, the competition is driven by a theme relevant to cybersecurity. Participants are invited to send their original entries such as posters, banners, videos, reels, shorts, essays, blogs, memes or software applications related to the theme. Over the past 4 editions of eRaksha, we have received some of the most creative, thought-provoking and valuable entries that have shone a light on some of the most important contemporary cyberspace issues. eRaksha is a valuable chance for anyone who wishes to enhance their knowledge and skills, collaborate with domain experts, and engage with exciting, complex challenges during the Cyber Camps organised by CyberPeace and NCERT.

By inviting the youth to interact, engage and discuss their experiences on a national level thus, eRaksha creates a vast treasure trove of fresh, youthful insights regarding the digital world and all its opportunities, threats and concerns.

Cultivating collaborative pathways across institutions
The CyberPeace Center of Excellence (CCoE) functions as a platform to foster and harness the potential of the youth through collaborations with academic institutions and innovation-focussed-programs. This initiative presents opportunities to universities, their students, and faculty to collaborate with industries, government agencies, law enforcement, and the armed forces for research and development projects that address real-world challenges.

It is a community driven collaborative framework for research & development in academia and allied institutions. The goal is to create a cluster of research in academic and allied institutions to tackle challenges in the realm of cybersecurity. The objective is to establish a network of experts who can share their knowledge, skills, and resources to develop inventive solutions and technologies that enhance cybersecurity. This network of experts will collaborate to generate new ideas, conduct research, and promote the exchange of information and best practices to address the ever-changing challenges and threats in cyberspace.
Government entities collaborate with one or more academic institutions under the CyberPeace Center of Excellence (CCoE) and share details about their operational challenges, issues, threats, risks, and concerns. Depending on the project, the intellectual property for the solution can be licensed and handed over in the interest of national security.

Nurturing a safer cyber-future for children & teens worldwide
The iSafe project, launched by the CyberPeace Foundation and UNICEF, aims to address child protection issues in the online world. Children and young people are particularly vulnerable in the cyberspace, facing challenges such as the production and distribution of inappropriate explicit material (CSAM), bullying, online sexual harassment, and radicalization

It is crucial to educate and raise awareness among various professionals who are often indirectly involved in the well-being of children and youth, such as police officers responsible for investigations pertaining to children-and-youths’ safety. The project focuses on training personnel from frontline workers, law enforcement agencies, social welfare organisations, health departments, education departments, and the Department of Women and Child Line, who directly interact with vulnerable adolescents. The project aims to have a wide-scale impact and consistent implementation.
Drawing on the CyberPeace Foundation's expertise in collaboration, the project covers various topics such as: the roles and responsibilities of police personnel in responding to child victims, establishing a first response mechanism, accessing relevant resources and information for further sessions, sensitising children, and raising awareness of legal remedies. The initiative also consists of multiple online training workshops to discuss best practices for dealing with adolescent victims of cybercrimes. Training materials and audio-visual aids are also provided to enhance participants' understanding of the subject matter. The participants are provided with blockchain enabled e-certificates for completing the online sessions.
