Chase India

Chase India is a leading research and public policy consulting firm with growing practices in Technology & Fintech, Transport & Infrastructure, Life Sciences and Sustainability

In light of the rapid global digital transformation with particular emphasis on India, there is an imperative need to fortify measures aimed at protecting Critical Information Infrastructure (CII) from emerging cyber threats. On the background of the ongoing discussions on National Cyber Security Strategy and common Cyber Crisis Management Plan (CCMP) for CII, there is a need for an equally important conversation around evolving strategies to increase the cyber resilience of India’s CII. In 2023, Chase India released its first report “Modernizing Framework for Protecting India’s Critical Information Infrastructure(CII)”. Through this report, they assessed the adequacy of the current framework as a deterrent and identified key areas to bolster CII protection in India.  As a subsequent exercise, we also worked on a report on “Future-proof and Future-ready Framework for Protecting Critical Information Infrastructure (CII) under the Digital India Bill”. The report aims to draft legislative and policy provisions for enhancing CII protection in shaping National Cyber Security Policy, by drawing insights from global and domestic best practices.

In order to brainstorm on focus strategies for effective protection of Critical Information Infrastructure, Chase India and CyberPeace have partnered for a roundtable discussion on “Evolving Strategies for Protecting Critical Information Infrastructure” on 7th March 2024 from 3 pm to 5 pm at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. The roundtable aims to bring together experts from government, industry, academia as well as civil society to strategies a way forward for further enhancing the protection of CII.
