In a groundbreaking move, NCW & CyberPeace convened a pivotal consultation at India International Centre on 'Navigating Deepfakes: Collaborative Strategies for Safer Cyberspace.' An insightful session with cyber experts, policymakers, and academia. Chairperson Ms Rekha Sharma emphasised the urgent need to raise awareness among women on deepfake threats & encourages police to expedite cybercrime cases. Empowering women in tech remains a priority! Smt. Neelakshi Jain introduced a system to distinguish original videos from deepfakes and discussed user-friendly tools on the horizon. Combatting deepfakes took a step forward. Mr. Naveen Singla, DIG Intelligence Punjab, advocated for accessible reporting channels for women to ensure timely action against cyber threats. Strengthening safety measures is imperative.
