In a groundbreaking move, NCW & CyberPeace convened a pivotal consultation at India International Centre on 'Navigating Deepfakes: Collaborative Strategies for Safer Cyberspace.' An insightful session with cyber experts, policymakers, and academia. Chairperson Ms Rekha Sharma emphasised the urgent need to raise awareness among women on deepfake threats & encourages police to expedite cybercrime cases. Empowering women in tech remains a priority! Smt. Neelakshi Jain introduced a system to distinguish original videos from deepfakes and discussed user-friendly tools on the horizon. Combatting deepfakes took a step forward. Mr. Naveen Singla, DIG Intelligence Punjab, advocated for accessible reporting channels for women to ensure timely action against cyber threats. Strengthening safety measures is imperative.

Experts highlighted the surge in cybercrime, discussed legal measures, and explored tools to identify deepfake videos at the recent NCW-CyberPeace consultation. Collaboration is key in combating cyber threats!
